This #FrontRowFriday we’re celebrating the announcement of Encore’s 2019 summer camp themes anddd (drum roll, please)…the 2019 Camp Aide application! Many of our Encore friends have participated in an #EncoreSummer camp, but now is your chance to take your summer to the next level. Why become a Camp Aide? I’m so glad you asked; read on for just a few highlights of the Camp Aide experience.
1) Leadership
As a Camp Aide, you’ll be acting as an intrepid tour guide for our campers as they venture on this wild adventure of discovering and creating theatre! Communication, trust, and leadership are all skills you’ll be able to take with you beyond the summer, to your sports teams, friend groups, or even other Encore productions.
2) Teaching Experience
Camp Aides work side-by-side and hand-in-hand with our awesome team of professional teaching artists. This is a great opportunity to gain teaching experience and general advice about creating a life in the arts from the team of professionals that are doing just that.
3) Resume Builder
As an Encore employee, you’ll earn your stripes by demonstrating your responsibility, adaptability, and professionalism. It will be fantastic to speak to this experience as you apply for colleges and even future jobs.
4) Awesome Campers
Last, but certainly not least, we have our wonderful campers! From the earliest learners to our more experienced summer students, there is something to learn from each and every camp participant. You elevate their camp experience and they will jump-start your creativity and passion for theatre!
