5 Ways to Celebrate Dr. Seuss at Encore!

Welcome back for another #FrontRowFriday! Today we’re celebrating the birthday of Dr. Seuss. His memorable characters and positive messages are adored from all around the world! Here are 5 wonderful ways to celebrate this influential creative thinker here at Encore Stage & Studio!

1) Mark your calendars for Seussical auditions! Step into the world of Seuss’s imagination this summer as a citizen of Whoville or the Jungle of Nool. Auditions are May 14, 7-9pm (ages 14 and up, including college students and adults) and May 15, 5-7 pm (ages 10-13) and 7-9 pm (ages 14 and up, including college students and adults)
Pre-audition workshop will be held on Saturday, May 12 (ages 10-13) | 3-5 pm.

So dust off your hats and save the date! (We ask that you leave cats at home this time around!)

2) Oh the places you’ll go…like spring classes and summer camps! Join Encore’s professional and engaging teaching artists for weekly theatre classes beginning Saturday, April 21st. From preschool Finger Plays to middle school monologue coaching, there is something for every young learner to try. Enroll today!

3) Explore your creativity at home! Check out Encore’s Seussical board on Pinterest for fun recipe and craft ideas that will have all of your Wednesdays Wacky and a Fox in every Sock.

5) “The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” Book your spring break at Encore’s spring break camps and learn more about theatre!

Explore a new theme every day! Enrollment is a la carte–-choose to sign up for one day, or the entire week! Students in K-2nd grade will enjoy a day of theatre games, crafts, creative activities and fun in a safe and supportive environment. Students in 3rd – 5th grade will work together to create a brand new play in just one camp day! Using their imaginations, students will develop the script and story, create the setting, and star in the show. This never before seen production will be performed at the end of the day for family and friends.

Camp hours: 9 am – 3 pm | Fee: $75 per day. $375 per week | Extended hours available.
