Encore’s popular Mini Camps are back! Discover the world of theatre through popular stories from the page and screen. Small groups of students will enjoy movement, theatre games, and crafts led by Encore’s Teaching Artists. We are excited to provide an opportunity for students to spend time with friends and activate their creativity!

And they lived happily ever after! But what happened first? Follow us through a series of favorite fairytale stories designed for our youngest friends including Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, Jack, and the Beanstalk, and more! Develop the confidence of sharing a story with a beginning, middle, and end, while working together as a group. This class may be repeated as new stories and activities come to life each session.

Encore Stage & Studio is seeking non-union actors 18+ for a touring production of an original theatrical piece, The Day That Nothing Happened. This piece a fictionalized retelling of the desegregation of Arlington County Public Schools in Arlington, VA.
Actors must have daytime availability and access to a car as the tour will perform various dates from November 2021-March 2022.

This is a paid opportunity.
Casting Breakdown: 4 African American actors; any gender; Non-Equity
2 Caucasian actors; any gender; Non-Equity

Dates: Rehearsals and performances will take place in/around Arlington, VA. Rehearsals will take place on 10/11, 10/14, 10/18, 10/21, 10/25, 10/28, 11/7, 11/8, 11/9, 11/10, and 11/11 from 5 PM-7 PM.

Touring show dates TBD. Performance dates range from November 2021-March 2022. Auditions will take place on Monday, September 27, 2021 from 4:30 PM-7 PM with callbacks on September 28 from 4:30 PM-6 PM at Cherrydale United Methodist (3701 Lorcom Ln. Arlington, VA 22207).

Do you envision your name in lights? Then lace-up your dancing shoes and pony your way onto the stage in this exciting movement-based class! Students will learn fun combinations as well as basic dance terminology to set the foundation for years of dance and movement appreciation. First stop: Encore—next stop: 42nd St!
