Quinn is a rising freshman at Occidental college. She has been involved in many Encore shows such as Robin Hood, Ghostchasers, and The Tempest. She’s excited to be back as a counselor at Encore for another summer!

Camp Counselor

Rhea Mallery is a high school student with a passion for theatre and learning. Rhea has worked as an actor in multiple performances, starring as Clarence the Angel in “It’s a Wonderful Life” as well as Savage Chorus Leader in Washington Liberty’s production of “Medea”. She has also worked on sound editing, set construction, and musical theatre in her highschool career. This will be her first season working with Encore, and she is excited to be a part of such an inspiring community!

Katrina Nelson is a rising senior at HB Woodlawn with many years of theatre under her belt. She loves being involved in all aspects of theatre, dabbling in acting, tech, directing, and playwriting.

Teaching Artist

Ally is excited to be joining Encore Studio summer camp staff as a Teaching Artist. She’s had several years of experience in theatre both as an actor and a crew member. She graduated from the University of Mary Washington in 2021 with a B.A. in studio art. Currently, she works as a teacher at Faith Lutheran Preschool in Arlington, Virginia.

Tech Camp Intern

Ian McBurney is a rising second-year student at the University of Virginia and is majoring in Architecture. He’s worked as backstage crew for several Encore productions, most recently Three Musketeers, Narnia, and Frozen Jr., as well as co-Stage Managing A Winter Star. He has worked as Assistant Stage Manager, Soundboard, Lights, Flies, Props, and Run Crew. He looks forward to helping out with Encore’s camps this summer!
