Sam Regardie

Camp Counselor
Sam Regardie is thrilled to work for his third with Encore! On top of being a counselor, Sam has also stage managed, worked backstage, and acted at both Encore and at his school. Outside of theater, Sam also enjoys rock climbing.

Ariela Greengart

Teaching Artist

Ariela Greengart hails from Pawtucket, Rhode Island, but currently calls Georgetown her home. She is a preschool teacher at Eldavitch Jewish Community Center in DC and a second-grade Sunday school teacher at Adas Israel Congregation. She is the creator,  director and producer for Livestream Theatre, a virtual theatre company, and has directed a dozen performances such as Adams Family Values, Beauty and the Beast, and 12 Angry Jurors. Her previous work as a youth theatre teacher was with Citizen Schools in NYC where she taught a class of middle-schoolers and directed the students in a show of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Greengart received her degree in Creative Writing (with a focus in Screenwriting) from Yeshiva University, acted in numerous show such as All My Sons (Chris Keller), Arsenic and Old Lace (Officer Brophy) and Inherit The Wind (Bert Cates), and directed two student-run productions. Greengart is thankful for her first theatrical education from Rhode Island College Performing Arts Camp where she attended as a camper for three years. There she learned how much theatre can impact a young mind and has been since inspired to do the same in her career. She hopes that through this summer class she can enable every camper to shine like the stars they are.

Sarah McBurney

Camp Counselor
Sarah McBurney is a rising junior at Alexandria City High School. She has been participating in Encore productions for six years both on cast and crew. At school, Sarah participates in the media production program, where she has been the director and technical director of her school’s news show. She is thrilled to be a counselor at the Scenes for Tweens camp this summer!

Alisa Kingsbury

Assistant Director

Alisa Kingsbury is so excited to work with Encore for the first time directing for Stage Door! Originally from southern California, Alisa has choreographed and directed youth productions in Los Angeles and in Washington, DC, and is thrilled to utilize her 7 years of creative experience to continue Encore’s mission of theatre for kids, by kids this summer.

Katerina Larrick

Camp Counselor

Katerina Larrick (they/them) is excited to be a counselor for their second year. They have been a camper/student at encore and acted in Newsies. Previously, they have been in Cinderella (Charlotte), Clue (Yvette), and She Kills Monsters (Monster, Evil Gabby u/s) at Wakefield High School. Additionally they will be President of Wakefield’s Thespian society and head Cappie critic during the 2022-2023 school year. They are also part of the Arlington Public Schools Fine Arts Apprenticeship for theater. Kat can’t wait to meet all the new campers!

Mary Granade

Camp Counselor
Mary is excited to be a camp counselor this summer! She enjoys working both on the stage and off it, and can’t wait to help bring that same enjoyment to campers.

Jessica Spindler

Jessica Spindler (She/Her) is a rising senior at Wakefield High School. She has participated in a few Encore camps before and is so excited to be a counselor this summer. Some stage credits include Cinderella (Ensemble, Madame U/S), Willy Wonka Jr. (Mrs. Beauregarde), and Shrek Jr. (Baby Bear). She can’t wait to start and meet everyone!

Jacob Bowen-Glazeroff

Camp Counselor

Jacob Bowen-Glazeroff is a rising 11th grader at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology and has participated in eleven Encore Stage and Studio productions, two Encore Stage and Studio classes, and three Encore Stage and Studio summer camps.  He has played a variety of roles such as Little Wolf in Fairy Tale Christmas Carol, Trinculo in The Tempest, and The Foreman in Sherlock Holmes, and has been a part of both backstage and front of house crew. In addition to drama, Jacob plays percussion in his school’s concert band, marching band, and drumline.  He is also an active debater and an officer in the TJHSST Congressional Debate Club and TJHSST Young Democrats Club.  At home, he enjoys reading and spending time with his twin sister and wants to pursue a career in law or government.  

Pippa Westland

Teaching Artist

Pippa Westland is looking forward to her first summer with Encore! She is an accomplished singer, dancer, and actress, and has performed her whole life. Her past shows include The Sound of Music (ensemble), Oklahoma! (ensemble), Guys and Dolls (ensemble), and Puffs (in which she played 9 roles!). She has also performed abbreviated versions of Peter Pan (Peter Pan), The Music Man (Marian), Carousel (Julie Jordan), and the operas Le Nozze di Figaro (Susanna), Der Freischütz (Agathe), and Roméo et Juliette (Juliette). She also had the amazing opportunity to record the vocals for the theme of The Haunting of Bly Manor during the pandemic. She has also studied many forms of dance including ballet, jazz, contemporary/modern, tap, and ballroom, which she then taught for three years.

Trinity Mays

Trinity Mays (2022 Education Summer Intern) currently attends Towson University, where she majors in Cell and Molecular Biology with a minor in Linguistic Diversity. She has a deep connection with the arts. Trinity began dancing at Ballet Arts Academy in Waldorf, MD, when she was 12 years old. She studied Russian Vaganova ballet, jazz, musical theater, and modern. Trinity has performed with Alvin Ailey Dance Company, Collage Dance Company, and many other academies. Her heart has always been with the arts, but her academics have kept me busy. As a result, she is very excited to have that passion reignited through this. She cannot wait to meet you all.
