Ariela Greengart

Teaching Artist
Ariela Greengart hails from Pawtucket, Rhode Island, but currently calls Georgetown her home. She is a preschool teacher at Eldavitch Jewish Community Center in DC and a second-grade Sunday school teacher at Adas Israel Congregation. She is the creator, director and producer for Livestream Theatre, a virtual theatre company, and has directed a dozen performances such as Adams Family Values, Beauty and the Beast, and 12 Angry Jurors. Her previous work as a youth theatre teacher was with Citizen Schools in NYC where she taught a class of middle-schoolers and directed the students in a show of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Greengart received her degree in Creative Writing (with a focus in Screenwriting) from Yeshiva University, acted in numerous show such as All My Sons (Chris Keller), Arsenic and Old Lace (Officer Brophy) and Inherit The Wind (Bert Cates), and directed two student-run productions. Greengart is thankful for her first theatrical education from Rhode Island College Performing Arts Camp where she attended as a camper for three years. There she learned how much theatre can impact a young mind and has been since inspired to do the same in her career.
