3 Favorite Encore Moments from June!

Hello Encore friends! We celebrate #FrontRowFriday with our 3 favorite moments from June:

#1 – Encore Stage & Studio presented Pinocchio!
Pinocchio was a memorable production, as we took our audience through a journey of learning honesty and being true to yourself. We had a wonderful production team with an awesome group of cast and crew members!

#2 – Our 50th Birthday Celebration with Hamiltunes
We celebrated our 50th birthday with the community at the place were it all began–Lubber Run Amphitheater! We honored our STAR Award winners and two amazing staff members, Photographer Larry McClemons, and Costume Designer/Builder Debra Leonard. We announced our 2018/2019 season and Delegate Alfonzo Lopez joined us for the festivities. We ended the night by singing along to our favorite songs of Hamilton!

#3 – Our #EncoreSummer has begun! Summer camps are underway and we’re so proud of our campers on their final performances and sharings!

Here are 3 things we’re looking forward to this July:

#1 – Summer Camp Fun!
We’re so excited for the camp performances to check out, be sure to check out our upcoming Stage Door performance of Shrek Jr., open to the public at Kenmore Middle School Theatre on Thursday, July 12 at 7:30pm and Friday, July 13 at 2pm.

We have select camps that are currently available. Click here to enroll today.

#2 – Encore presents Seussical, running July 20-29 at Kenmore Middle School Theatre.

The Cat in the Hat tells the story of the colorful characters who live in the Jungle of Nool. Horton the Elephant hears a sound coming from a speck of dust on a clover and discovers an entire world of the Whos. Jojo, an imaginative Who, keeps getting in trouble for thinking too many “thinks.” Horton must not only protect the Whos on their clover, but also sit on an abandoned egg, left to him to look after by Mayzie LaBird. Gertrude McFuzz, Horton’s next door neighbor and admirer, fights to rescue him. Come and enjoy many well-beloved characters of Dr. Seuss as they learn about friendship, loyalty, and community. After all, “a person’s a person no matter how small.”

Be sure to follow us on Instagram for our Ca(s)t in the Hat series and meet our cast!
