In this remake of a Christmas classic, your favorite fairy tale characters bring to life the story of
Ebeneezer Scrooge’s magical Christmas Eve. Mother Goose lends her talents to narrate the
story as the Big Bad Wolf takes on the humbugging lead role. Cinderella, the Three Little Pigs,
Old King Cole, and many more help create a new twist on the traditional Dickensian story told
every December.
Music by Alan Menken. Lyrics by Howard Ashman & Tim Rice. Book by Linda Woolverton. Originally
directed by Robert Jess Roth. Originally produced by Disney Theatrical Productions.

The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, meeting a Beast, who is
the young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and
be loved, the curse will end, and he will be transformed to his former self. If the Beast does
not learn his lesson before the last rose petal falls, he and his household including Mrs. Pots,
Lumiere and Mr. Cogsworth will be cursed forever. Join us for a tale as old as time in Encore’s
production of Beauty and the Beast Jr!
